Conference: Should the UK remain in or leave the EU?

Do you have views on whether or not the UK should remain part of the EU? Staff and students are invited to attend a conference / debate taking place on Wednesday 9 December at Palmer 109, 2pm to 5pm.

Co-organised by The European Atlantic Movement, the conference will present a perfect opportunity to learn more about the reasons for and against EU membership. The following speakers will attend the event:

Arguing for a Leave Vote

  • Rory Broomfield, the Director of 'Better Off Out'.
  • Dr Andreas Behnke, Associate Professor of Politics and International Relations.

Arguing for a Remain Vote

  • Matt Rodda, the Labour Parliamentary Candidate for Reading East in the 2015 General Election.
  • Professor Beatrice Heuser, Professor of Politics and International Relations.

As part of the debate, guests will have the chance to vote in a mock EU referendum poll, and will have an opportunity to ask topical questions to our guest speakers.

Places are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and there is no need to register attendance in advance. Please visit the event Facebook page for further information.
