Services affected by outage at internet service provider

A national network outage by our internet service provider, Janet, affected our internet reliant services this morning. This resulted in users not being able to connect to CRM, Blackboard and some external webpages.
The Information Technology team have been in close contact with Janet to get as much information on this issue as possible.
Janet have put in a temporary fix that has seen service return to normal. However, we have been advised that their systems are ‘still at risk’ and therefore there is the possibility that internet service could be affected in the near future.
IT will continue to monitor the issue and work with Janet to provide a permanent solution as soon as possible.
