Reading and the Middle East crisis: we need your help

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the Refugee Support Appeal to aid refugee academic colleagues. We are already almost half-way to achieving our target of £20,000.

The Director of Council for At-Risk Academics (CARA) recently visited the University and told us about the truly awful conditions that some of our colleagues are facing, particularly those from parts of the Middle East, and how some have already been helped and how we might help others in the future. You can find out more about the fund and a link to donate here.

We held a lecture about the cause back in November. If you missed this lecture or would like to review the information again, you can now watch the full lecture over at our YouTube page here.

We are now asking you to help spread the word about this initiative through colleagues in your faculties and schools. We welcome all donations. Thank you.
