Reminder: adverse weather procedures

Reminder: adverse weather procedures

While it is unlikely that we will experience heavy snowfall over the festive period, none of us can truly predict how the weather is likely to turn over the festive period. Here is a quick reminder of the University’s recommended procedures for adverse weather conditions.

If on campus:

  • Keep to tarmacked footpaths.
  • Do not enter any areas that have been cordoned off, as this will have been done to protect your safety. Paths at highest risk of falling branches and trees will be closed off by the University.
  • Contact the Estates & Facilities helpdesk if you discover fallen branches or other obstacles on 0118 378 7000. For emergencies and out-of-hours issues, call 0118 378 7799.
  • Take care when travelling to and from campus. If you are experiencing difficulties getting to campus please contact your Department or Line Manager as soon as possible.
