International WomenÔÇÖs Day events 2016

To mark International Women’s Day, there are two events happening across the University today.

As part of Fairtrade Fortnight, Mona El-Sayed, Director of Fair Trade Egypt, will be hosting a lunchtime seminar at Henley Business School, G15 12.30 pm – 1:30 pm. In her seminar, Mona will talk about the role of women in the Fairtrade movement based on her own experience setting up FT Egypt during turbulent times.

The event is free and all are welcome to attend. Further details can be found here.

Later today, Karen Blackett OBE, CEO of MediaCom UK, will share her experiences and wisdom in a special ‘In conversation’ lecture in memory of Professor Edith Morley. The lecture takes place at the Great Hall, London Road campus, 7:30 pm.

Karen’s lecture also forms part of our 90th anniversary celebrations. Attendees will also be able to purchase a copy of Edith’s memoir, Before and After, which will be on sale at the event.

Admission is free, but you must register to attend in advance- please click here for more.
