Food and Nutritional Science building temporarily closed following chemical spillage

The Food and Nutritional Science building has been temporarily closed following a chemical spillage this afternoon. A clean-up operation is currently in place, and as a result the building will remain closed until further notice.

The incident occurred in the 3rd floor laboratory. Staff and students were initially relocated to the 1st and 2nd floors, but the building has now been evacuated as a precautionary measure. No one was injured during the incident.

While the clean-up operation is underway, staff and students are advised to stay away from the building until further notice. The building will be reopened as soon as possible.
