Annual Cole Lecture 'Wild Life in a Warmer World: Where Are We and Where Are We Going?'
Monday, 21 March 2016
The School of Biological Sciences are proud to present their annual Cole Lecture, ‘Wild Life in a Warmer World: Where Are We and Where Are We Going?’ on Wednesday 23 March at Henley Business School, 19:30.
The host of this year’s lecture is Professor Camille Parmesan, who as Lead Author, was an official contributor to the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in 2007 for her groundbreaking work measuring the impact of man-made climate change on animal and plant life.
In her Cole Lecture, Professor Parmesan will discuss the impacts of climate change on wild species, and the conservation and policy implications of a warmer world.
The annual lecture series is held in honour of Francis Cole (1872 - 1959), Reading's first professor of Zoology. This year, the lecture also forms part of our 90th Anniversary celebrations.
Admission is free, but places are limited. You must register to attend in advance- please click here to register your attendance.
