Contractors on site for Chancellor's Building work from Monday 4 April

Monday, 04 April 2016

Early work for Chancellor's Building

An early artistÔÇÖs impression of how the ChancellorÔÇÖs Building will look.

Please note that on Monday 4 April, contractors will be on campus to begin setting up for the construction of temporary accommodation on Chancellors Way.

The Chancellor’s Building will be located along Chancellors Way on the old Rural History Centre site. The building will be used to temporarily house schools affected by redevelopment, including the current occupants of the URS Building.

Over the course of the week, timber hoardings will be erected around the site, and the contractors will set up their welfare facilities. The removal of existing concrete foundation slabs will also be carried out. The hoardings are likely to stay up until August, but may be taken down earlier if possible.

Specific details on the Chancellor’s Building project will be provided shortly.

Please contact Robert Shankland for further details.
