Wednesday, 11 May 2016
Nominations are now open for the election of professors and academic staff to the University Senate.
Nominations should be received in writing to Richard Messer by 12pm, Friday 27 May.
The Senate is the University's main academic administrative body, and reports to the University Council. It meets at least four times a year, and advises on areas such as student entry, assessment and awards.
The Senate is comprised of Heads of Schools / elected School representatives, professional staff and students, and currently has around 100 members. They play a vital role in instigating changes across the University, and serve as the reporting body for boards tasked with developing teaching and learning, research and global engagement.
Details of regulations, election timetable and nomination instructions are available here.
