Reminder: Chancellor's Way closed to buses from 23-26 May

Monday, 23 May 2016

Chancellor's Way closed 23-26 May

Staff and students are reminded that from Monday 23 May to Thursday 26 May, buses will not be able to pass through Chancellor’s Way.

Those looking to use the Claret 21 and 21a services towards Reading town centre will need to use a temporary bus stop that has been set up on Queen’s Drive, just opposite Whiteknight’s House.

During this period, buses will not serve the Chancellor's Way and Chancellor's Way (Shinfield Road) bus stops. The route will be amended so that buses will continue along Shinfield Road before turning into Pepper Lane, and then left towards the temporary bus stop at Queen’s Drive.

Services travelling towards Lower Earley will not be affected as buses will follow their normal routes.

The closure of Chancellor’s Way will allow materials to be delivered to the Chancellor’s Building construction site. Approximately once every 45 minutes, a building module will be delivered to the site. A second phase of module delivery will take place in June- exact dates will be provided shortly.
