Invitation to Little Owl Preschool's Goodbye Tea Party on Monday 4 July, 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Our relationship with the preschool stretches over 40 years.

Little Owl Preschool (formerly The University of Reading Preschool) is on the move. 

The nursery will be relocating to The Scout and Guide Headquarters at 163 Northcourt Avenue over the summer holiday, ready to reopen in September. 

Before moving, a Goodbye Tea Party will be held on Monday 4 July, 2:00pm – 4:00pm. As a way of saying “thank you” to members of staff (and their children) who have supported the preschool over the years, colleagues are warmly invited to join in with the Goodbye festivities. 

In recognition of the longstanding relationship between Little Owl Preschool and the University of Reading, we will be providing cakes for the tea party.  

The origins of the nursery stretch back over 40 years, when a playgroup was set up in the Employees Social Club at Earley Gate. The playgroup proved to be very successful, later expanding into a nursery for children of staff, students and the local community. It is now rated as an “Outstanding Preschool” by Ofsted.

Once the preschool reopens in September, it will continue to provide care for children in the mornings and afternoons during term time.
