Recruitment tasks to be made simpler with new Applicant Tracking System
Tuesday, 28 June 2016
HR Operations are piloting a new recruitment Applicant Tracking System (ATS) that aims to be rolled out across the University from August 2016.
The pilot currently handles vacancies advertised by the Library, IT, HR, Henley Business School and the School of Mathematics and Physical Sciences. Following the successful completion of the pilot, the ATS will be rolled out for all University recruitment activity.
Benefits of the new ATS include:
- Increased automation, especially in relation to shortlisting applications and communicating with candidates. Will help reduce manual administration processes required for each vacancy.
- Better and timelier information for Hiring Managers on recruitment activity and candidate appointment. Easier for those who shortlist applications and make selection decisions.
- Standardised communications process. The ATS will simplify the communications process between candidates and Hiring Managers.
- Improved user experience. Candidates will have a better applicant experience when applying for vacancies.
The new system aims to make recruitment activity much easier for Hiring Managers. It will be available to access remotely, with users logging in with their standard university email address and password.
For each vacancy Hiring Managers will be able to track the whole recruitment process, from initial candidate applications through to shortlisting and finalising a job offer. Shortlisting will also become easier, as each member of the interview panel will be able to view applications to create a unified shortlist.
For job seekers, the ATS will allow users to sign up for job alerts, receive application status updates and store details of applied positions.
Training sessions will be made available later in the year.
