The Senate is the University's main academic administrative body, and reports to the University Council. It meets at least four times a year, and advises on areas such as student entry, assessment and awards.
The Senate is comprised of Heads of Schools / elected School representatives, professional staff and students, and currently has around 100 members. They play a vital role in instigating changes across the University, and serve as the reporting body for boards tasked with developing teaching and learning, research and global engagement.
Don’t forget that we are currently taking nominations for one non-academic member of staff to join the Council. Nominations must be submitted by Monday 18 July. Read the full story here.
