Teaching and Learning Facilities Survey 2016
Friday, 08 July 2016
IT are conducting a new Teaching and Learning Facilities survey, following on from last year’s successful staff survey.
The short survey asks colleagues from across the University to share their views on the provision of classroom technology. The survey can be accessed here and will be open until Friday 29 July.
From last year’s feedback, IT have:
- upgraded eight rooms in HUMSS, four with high definition LED screens, and customised tech tables to better meet your teaching needs
- removed redundant equipment in teaching rooms such as OHPs and slide projectors. Equipment can be booked separately by request
- reduced the occurrence of slow logons
- been providing input and feedback on plans for new lecture theatres
- used feedback to directly influence policy
- been working more closely with departments to ensure installations meet requirements
Feedback gained through the survey will be used to assess how far IT are able to meet the needs of our teaching staff. In particular, IT hope to gain a clear picture of equipment used in teaching spaces, areas to improve on and identifying any services that the team should be focusing on.
If you have any enquiries about the survey, please contact Helena Bampton.
