Campus Card payment services unavailable from Wednesday 20 July to Monday 1 August
Friday, 15 July 2016
Campus Card payment services will be temporarily suspended from 5pm Wednesday 20 July until 10am Monday 1 August.
The system that enables the card to be used as a method of payment is being upgraded- as a result, it will not be possible to make payments with a Campus Card until Monday 1 August.
During this time, tills across the University will only accept payment by debit or credit card, Apple Pay, Android Pay or cash. Card balances will be automatically carried across and will become active from 10am Monday 1 August.
Library users should note that it will not be possible to pay Library fines by Campus Card until the upgrade is complete.
The Campus Card portal will be closed during this time. As a result, it will not be possible to make top-up payments either online or by cash.
Those who would usually pay for printing with a Campus Card will be able to use the Library printers and photocopiers free of charge during the upgrade period.
Many outlets that offer discounts for using the campus card will continue to offer some of these discounts for the other methods of payment while the use of Campus Cards is unavailable; please ask your local outlet for details.
The service upgrade will introduce many new improvements that Campus Card users have asked for, including:
- contactless card payment
- simplified online balance information
- £50.00 expenditure limit scrapped
- no longer necessary to use an MST machine to transfer balances between on-card accounts and online accounts to pay for printing, photocopying, Library fines, or to transfer a balance from an old/lost card to a new one.
- £1 and £5 top-up amounts added to Campus Card portal
Please be aware that as a new system is being implemented, all transactional history before 1 August 2016 will be lost. If you require this information, our Campus Card Systems Team can produce a copy for you upon request.
