Teaching and Learning Facilities Survey 2016

Don’t forget that IT’s Teaching and Learning Facilities survey is open until Friday 29 July.

The short survey asks University colleagues to share their views on the provision of classroom technology. The survey can be accessed here.

IT held a similar survey last year and the feedback helped identify several major areas of improvement. From last year’s feedback, IT have:

  • upgraded eight rooms in HUMSS, four with high definition LED screens, and customised tech tables to better meet your teaching needs
  • removed redundant equipment in teaching rooms such as OHPs and slide projectors. Equipment can be booked separately by request
  • reduced the occurrence of slow logons
  • been providing input and feedback on plans for new lecture theatres
  • used feedback to directly influence policy
  • been working more closely with departments to ensure installations meet requirements

Once again, IT will use the survey feedback to assess how the needs of teaching staff can be met. The team hope to gain a clearer picture of the kinds of equipment used in teaching spaces, along with identifying areas that could be improved on or introduced.

If you have any enquiries about the survey, please contact Helena Bampton.
