A level results: dedicated hotlines in operation
Thursday, 18 August 2016
As UCAS announce that a record number of university places have been awarded following the release of A level results, preparations are very much underway at Reading to welcome our next cohort of new undergraduates.
To help respond quickly to enquiries from both our firm and insurance offer holders, as well as prospective students wishing to join the University through Clearing or Adjustment, two individual hotlines will be in operation:
Clearing and Adjustment hotline
0118 402 0900
- Thursday 18 August 07:00–18:00
- Friday 19 August 08:00–18:00
- Saturday 20 August 10:00–14:00
- Monday 22 August onwards 09:00–17:00
Further information and FAQs about Adjustment and Clearing can be found at www.reading.ac.uk/places.
University of Reading firm and insurance offer holders hotline
0118 378 8372
- Thursday 18 August 08:00–18:00
- Friday 19 August 09:00–17:00
- Monday 22 August onwards 09:00–17:00
Information on UCAS firm and insurance offer holders can be found at www.reading.ac.uk/confirmation.
All calls or enquiries on course places and clearing should be redirected to the appropriate hotline.
University social media channels will also be working to engage potential students and help support their decision. If you use social media, please direct any enquiries to @uniofreading or @unirdg_apply on Twitter or /theuniversityofreading on Facebook, and please join in any congratulatory messages sent to successful applicants.
Occasionally, prospective students may choose to come to the campus to discuss their enquiry face-to-face. All visitors should be directed to the Palmer Building, where the Admissions team will be able to provide help and advice, with the exception of Friday 19 August (see below).
On Friday 19 August, students offered a place at Reading through the Clearing or Adjustment process will be offered to attend an invitation-only Open Morning at Henley Business School. The session will provide visitors an opportunity to speak with academic colleagues and see our wonderful campuses and facilities. All visitors on Friday 19 August should be directed to Henley Business School.
Our Admissions and academic colleagues have been working hard over the past few weeks in preparation of this crucial time. Don’t forget that this can be an anxious time for prospective students, so please do your best to help guests and enquirers feel as welcome as possible and help point them in the right direction.
