On your bike day and other travel news

Colleagues should take note of the following important travel updates:

On Your Bike event, Wednesday 28 September

Wednesday 28 September is On Your Bike day- come along to RUSU between 12:00pm – 4:00pm to find out how you can get started with cycling around the University. Whether you’re looking to rent a bike or buy a second hand one, there’ll be plenty of information on hand to help you get started.

Co-wheels Car Club launched

We have a brand new car club on campus which has just arrived for the start of term. Staff and students can hire the Co-wheels car by the hour, and there is free membership and £10 credit for new university users.

Anyone who has had a driver’s license for 12 months can join the scheme.

The car on campus is based at Dunsden Crescent in Park Group halls, so particularly handy for students living in halls. There are also further cars in the area should that one already be booked when you need it. The one in Addington Road is also close to London Road campus.

Sign up or find more information at www.co-wheels.org.uk/uor.

Renew your Easit card

We know that many of you travelling to the University by rail have appreciated the discounts to your train travel provided via your easit card. This is a quick reminder that the cards need renewing each year, so please check your expiry date to see when you need to renew as it can take a couple of weeks for new cards to arrive.

See https://www.easit.org.uk/easitreading for more details.
