Open Access Week Monday 24 - Sunday 30 October

Open access is now an integral part of publishing research in journals.

To tie in with this year’s International Open Access Week, an exhibition and drop-in sessions will be held at several locations on Whiteknights campus during the week beginning Monday 24 October. 

The events aim to present researchers with opportunities to find out more about open access, how to comply with HEFCE/REF open access requirements, our deals with publishers, our funds to cover open access charges, and how to deposit in CentAUR. 

People Development sessions on open access, Altmetric, SciVal, researcher digital identity (ORCiD) and research data management will also take place around open access week. The newly launched Open Research at Reading blog will also be focussing on all things open access- details of events will be outlined on the blog, so be sure to keep checking for updates.
