London Road: refurbishment of buildings LO11 and LO27

London Road: refurbishment of buildings LO11 and LO27

Colleagues at our London road campus should take note of the following works taking place at buildings LO11 and LO27.

Scaffolding will be set up around each building during the week commencing Monday 17 October. Main refurbishment works will begin the following week (Monday 24 October onwards), which will involve removing the roof tiles on LO11 and LO27.

With the exception of deliveries to The Dairy, it will not be possible for staff to park on campus parallel to Redlands Road (accessed via Acacia Road) for the duration of the refurbishment works, which are currently scheduled for completion in March 2017.

In addition, several parking spaces immediately adjacent to building LO27 will also be out of use, and the disabled parking bays in this area will be relocated next to the Gym. Parking in White Gates and Acacia Road car parks will not be affected.

The decision has been taken to help ensure the safety of our staff and students while these works are being carried out. The project teams are working closely with the University to minimise disruption and will keep occupants at London Road updated of further works taking place.

Please contact John Turner for further details.
