Transgender Day of Remembrance

Transgender Day of Remembrance is marked annually by the University and internationally on or near 20 November.

It is a day on which we celebrate our trans staff and students, but also remember those affected by violence against the trans community in the UK and beyond, particularly over the last year.

Events include:

Trans awareness training by external facilitator Rosemary Taylor
Friday 18 November, 2 - 4pm, Palmer 103, Whiteknights

Flag-raising ceremony and short speeches, hosted by Vice-Chancellor, RUSU LGBT+ Officer Nikki Ray, LGBT Plus staff network
Monday 21 November, 1 - 1.45pm, flagpole between Whiteknights House and the Library

Trans experiences across the generations: personal stories and Q&A
Monday 21 November, 7.30 - 9pm, RUSU Café Mondial
