University and RUSU to present Green Festival Wednesday 16 - Friday 18 November 2016
Wednesday, 09 November 2016
Sustainability Services and RUSU will host the University’s first Green Festival this month – an exciting opportunity to celebrate and enjoy all that is green at the University of Reading and beyond.
Running from Wednesday 16 – Friday 18 November, the Festival will present a collection of events designed to raise awareness of green issues, the positive steps taken by the University as a sector leading institution and the extra (and often small) things we can all do to help reduce our collective impact on the environment.
The Festival will see the return of popular events such as the Blackout, a night where students and staff come together to turn off unnecessary electrical equipment (whilst eating pizza!) and Dr Bike, a quick, free and convenient way to get your bike tuned up on campus.
New events include David Attenborough Friday, in which RUSU will screen David Attenborough documentaries all day (both educational and relaxing!), plus tours of our state of the art energy centre on campus.
