Showcasing Women in the Arts & Humanities, Tuesday 15 November 2016
Friday, 11 November 2016
In today’s business-oriented world, what are the challenges faced by women pursuing a career in the arts & humanities? How do we go about building an academic career while collaborating with the private sector and balancing our personal lives? What is it really like to work within these fields and how likely is it to successfully pursue a career in academia?
On Tuesday 15 November, join us for an afternoon of panel discussions and debates hosted by the University’s Arts and Humanities academic community.
Showcasing Women in the Arts & Humanities will feature twelve prominent members of our research community, exploring their work, personal experiences and chosen career paths.
The forum has been designed to offer women considering a career in the arts & humanities an opportunity to gain first-hand insights, develop their career path, focus their motivations, and be better informed about career choices overall.
The showcase will also present a valuable opportunity to connect with colleagues from all departments within the University’s Heritage & Creativity research field. A wine reception will follow the final discussion, providing everyone an extra opportunity to network and to discuss topics further.
