The final Senate meeting of the year was held on Wednesday 30 November 2016.

In his address to Senate, Vice-Chancellor Sir David Bell discussed topics including the Autumn statement and recent awards to Departments and colleagues.

As the University’s main academic administrative body, the Senate comprises of around 100 individuals including Heads of Schools, elected representatives, professional staff and students. It reports to the University Council and meets at least four times a year.
