University closure for Christmas: important information
Monday, 19 December 2016
The University will be closed over the Christmas period from Friday 23 December to Monday 2 January, and will reopen fully on Tuesday 3 January.
Before leaving for the Charismas holidays, please check your workspace to ensure that windows and doors are locked securely, and that all valuable items are stored securely out of sight.
All electrical equipment that is not required to be left on should be turned off – this will help reduce the risk of an electrical fault as well as saving power.
If you will be working over the Christmas closure period you must inform Security Control when you arrive and when you leave. Prior notification must be sent to securitycontrol@reading.ac.uk. No access will be granted without this.
Term dates and a full list of University closure days can be found at the Dates of term and enrolment page.
