Reminder: University closed Friday 23 December to Monday 2 January

The University will close over the Christmas period from Friday 23 December to Monday 2 January and will reopen fully on Tuesday 3 January. 

Before leaving for the Charismas holidays, colleagues are reminded to check that windows and doors in workspaces are locked securely, with all valuable items stored securely out of sight.  

All electrical equipment that is not required to be left on should be turned off – this will help reduce the risk of an electrical fault as well as saving power. 

Colleagues looking to work over the closure period must inform Security Control of their arrival and departure from the University, with prior notification sent to securitycontrol@reading.ac.uk. No access will be granted without this.
