Thank you for participating in the staff survey
Monday, 10 April 2017
A big thank you to all the colleagues who completed the 2017 Staff Survey.
It is the biggest staff engagement activity in nearly six years, involving over 4000 staff, across three continents, and we are grateful for your time and commitment to shaping the future of our University.
By the morning of 7 April, 56% of colleagues invited to take part had completed the survey. The response rate was 41% in Schools and 58% in Professional Services. This response rate is indicative only and will be updated through a data verification exercise, now that the survey is closed. Once the data has been verified, our survey provider, Capita, will analyse the results and share the findings with the University.
Capita is scheduled to present the high-level results to the University Executive Board on 8 May and then the Leadership Team on 24th May. We will share the results with you after these presentations at the end of May.
Throughout June, we will invite staff from across the university to take part in focus groups to help us develop a University-wide action plan to address any issues raised.
Schools and Functions will be expected to follow up with their own action plans to address local issues highlighted in the survey and local results will be shared via HR Partners after the university results.
The 2017 Staff Survey is the beginning of a continued process of engagement, with a shorter follow-up survey in 2018 to measure progress against the issues highlighted. There will be a second, more detailed, full staff survey in 2019.
Thanks again for your support, as soon as we have been able to verify the response rate we will confirm the final figure and be in touch with more information about the next steps.
