Changes in the Finance team

Sarah Bartlett has decided to step down as Head of Finance Planning and Strategy as she would like to work 3 days a week following her return from maternity leave.

Marie Misselbrook is going to step up as the Head of Finance Planning and Strategy for a 12 month period. Anne-Marie West is going to step up as the Finance Business Partner to cover Hua Yang’s vacancy for 12 months.

Sarah Bartlett will job share with Anne-Marie and work as a Finance Business Partner for 2 days  and work 1 day a week on University wide projects.

Rachel Savin will step up to be the business partner plus analyst for Estates and Facilities.

Following interviews last week, we have appointed two new Finance Business Analyst starting in May and July.

We will then review the structure of the Finance Planning and Strategy Team next year.

Helen Fowweather, the new interim Finance Director has just joined us on a six-month placement whilst we recruit a permanent person to the role. She is a qualified accountant with over 15 years’ experience as Finance Director at a variety of commercial and not-for-profit organisations, including three years at St Peter’s College in the University of Oxford.

Helen is now a professional Interim Contractor, most recently at the British Board of Film Classification.
