Celebrate Community and Creativity at the Big Band Big Lunch.

Don’t forget that the Big Band Big Lunch takes place this weekend on Sunday 4 June.

Colleagues and their families are invited to join us at London Road for an afternoon of music, great food and creative activities. As well as being a part of the national Big Lunch, this year the event will also form part of the national Great Get Together, in memory of Jo Cox MP. 

This year’s event will follow the theme of ‘Community and Creativity’ – visitors will be able to enjoy music from the University Big Band, the Universal Voices children’s choir and performances from South Asian dance troupe Kalakunj.

There will be many family-friendly activities for all to enjoy, including creative workshops created by ArtLab. There will also be plenty of food and drink available to buy, and guests are welcome to bring their own picnics if preferred. 

Admission is free and no booking is required.
