Distinguished Volunteer Awards: nominations close Friday 23 June

Distinguished Volunteer Awards

There is still time to show your appreciation for our wonderful volunteers in the Distinguished Volunteer Awards.

The awards, recently launched by the Campaigns and Supporter Engagement Office, aim to recognise those who go above and beyond their volunteering duties.

There are two nomination categories:

  1. An individual (not necessarily alumni) whose volunteering has a direct and significant impact on the work of the University. For example, through activities such as mentoring, acting as a student ambassador or participating in student talks.
  2. A member of our alumni network whose volunteering has a significant impact in a particular field and, by association, furthers the University of Reading’s excellent reputation.

If you know a volunteer that fits one of these two profiles, please submit a nomination by Friday 23 June. Winners will be announced at the upcoming Supporter Day on Saturday 9 September.

Further information on the Distinguished Volunteer Awards and the nomination process is available on the Alumni and Supporters website.
