Come and show your support of our LGBT community!
Please join the University of Reading and Reading University Students’ Union (RUSU) in support of Reading Pride on Saturday 2 September 2017.
Festivities will kick off with the Pride Parade, starting at 11.00 am. The parade will travel through Reading town centre before arriving at Kings Meadow, the site of the Reading Pride Festival.
The University will be will be taking part in the parade – we would love to be joined by as many of our staff and students as possible, so please come and join us as we make our way through Reading.
We will be holding a University stall at the Reading Pride Festival from 12.00 pm until 6.30 pm, where we will showcase our commitment to LGBT inclusion for students, staff and the wider community. There’ll also be free giveaways and information on the University’s LGBT support networks and historical connections.
We are also seeking volunteers to help at the stall on the day – if you are interested in joining us then please do register an interest by emailing Yasmin Ahmed or Sinead O'Flynn.
Now in its fourteenth year, Reading Pride is set to be a fun and entertaining day for all. The Festival will feature a full line-up of entertainment throughout the day as well as a funfair, youth area, market stalls and a wide range of tasty food and drink.
See the Reading Pride website for full details.
We look forward to seeing you there!
