Updated information on Brexit from Mills & Reeve

Tuesday, 25 July 2017

In February, we had invited Alex Russell – an immigration expert from the law firm, Mills & Reeve – to present several information sessions to non-UK EU colleagues on Brexit.

Alex has provided an updated FAQs for European Economic Area nationals that you may find useful.

The document covers the UK Government proposals for EU citizens living in the UK, Permanent Residence and British citizenship.

We understand that there is still a great deal of uncertainty, but will continue to monitor the developments. Once more substantive advice and guidance becomes available, we hope to be able to provide further information sessions.

Staff Portal has a special page related to the news on UK’s exit from the European Union. The page has video recording of Alex Russell’s sessions on Permanent Residence and on Naturalisation.

As mentioned previously, if you are considering applying for British citizenship, both Reading and Wokingham Borough Councils are offering a checking service to assist with the process.
