New University Support Centres now open

Support Centres now open

The University’s new Support Centres opened on Tuesday 1 August, servicing undergraduate and postgraduate students.

All teaching, learning and general wellbeing support is now based in the Support Centres – students should go to them for anything they previously visited their School office for.

The Centres will provide advice and support on a range of academic and non-academic issues, including:

  • Module and programme advice
  • Timetable queries
  • Coursework and exams queries
  • Extenuating circumstances
  • Financial support
  • Disability assistance
  • Placements and internships
  • Welfare and wellbeing

Please note that Henley Business School students will continue to access their dedicated Henley Business School Admin Deck for support, and postgraduate research students will continue to be supported by the Graduate School.

Support Centre locations

There are five Support Centres located across the Whiteknights and London Road campuses:

  • Edith Morley building foyer: supports School of the Built Environment (SBE), School of Humanities (SHUMS), School of Politics, Economics and International Relations (SPEIR), and School of Literature and Languages (SLL)
  • JJ Thomson building foyer: supports School of Mathematical, Physical and Computational Sciences (SMPCS), School of Biological Sciences (SBS), School of Chemistry, Food and Pharmacy (SCFP), and School of Archaeology, Geography and Environmental Sciences (SAGES)
  • Earley Gate Agriculture building foyer: supports School of Agriculture, Policy and Development (SAPD), School of Art and Communication Design (SACD), and School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences (SPCLS)
  • London Road: supports Institute of Education (IoE) and School of Architecture
  • Foxhill House: supports School of Law

Each Support Centre is assigned to support a number of Schools, but students are welcome to visit any of the five locations for assistance for convenience.

The Centres have been purpose-built to handle student enquiries and offer confidential breakout spaces if a student needs to speak to someone privately.

Over the coming weeks, University staff will be invited to attend Support Centre ‘open afternoons’ so that they can visit the new locations and meet the teams – further details will follow shortly.

See the Support Centres page for full details, including opening times and contact information.
