High voltage maintenance works over bank holiday weekend

High voltage maintenance works are planned to take place over the August bank holiday weekend at Whiteknights campus.
The maintenance work will involve isolating all power supplies at the following locations:
Saturday 26 August, 7.30 am – 1.00 pm
- Energy Centre substation (W210) – supplying Energy Centre Building, Controlled environment lab (potting shed and top row glasshouses)
- CPU substation (W185) – supplying CPU Building
- Lyle substation (W127) - supplying Harbourne Building, Lyle Building, RSSL Building, glasshouses 1-8
Saturday 26 August, 1.00 pm – 4.00 pm
- Blanford substation (W129) – supplying Blanford Lodge , Miller Building, Wager (Geoscience), Allen Laboratory, Archaeology Building, URS Building, Whiteknights House, Archway Lodge (Muslim Centre), Telephone Exchange, bus stop
- Soil Science Substation (W070) - supplying Russell Building, Chancellor’s Building
- Edith Morley substation (W001 ) - supplying Edith Morley, Old Whiteknights House
In the unlikely event of a fault, please note that power supplies may be affected in other locations across campus.
Don't forget that all buildings across the University will close on Monday 28 August for the bank holiday.
