University prepares for 2017 A level results

Monday, 14 August 2017

Clearing 2017

A level results: we look forward to welcoming new students onto campus.

Thousands of prospective students will find out whether they will be joining the University of Reading following the publication of A level results on Thursday 17 August.

This is naturally an anxious time for many students – so to make the process a little easier, we have set up two dedicated hotlines to help quickly respond to enquiries from firm and insurance offer holders and students wishing to join us through Clearing or Adjustment.

Both lines will be in operation from Thursday 17 August onwards.

CLEARING AND ADJUSTMENT HOTLINE

0118 402 0900

  • Thursday 17 August  07:30–18:00
  • Friday 18 August 08:00–17:00
  • Saturday 19 August 10:00–14:00
  • Monday 21 August onwards 09:00–17:00

Further information and FAQs about Adjustment and Clearing can be found at www.reading.ac.uk/places.

FIRM AND INSURANCE OFFER HOLDERS HOTLINE

0118 378 8372

  • Thursday 17 August 07:30–18:00
  • Friday 18 August 09:00–17:00
  • Monday 21 August onwards 09:00–17:00

Information on UCAS firm and insurance offer holders can be found at www.reading.ac.uk/confirmation.

If you receive any calls from students wanting to talk about offers and/or places, please be sure to redirect them to the appropriate hotline above.

We may receive enquiries from prospective students looking to discuss their enquiries in person. All visitors should be directed to the Palmer Building, where the Admissions team will be able to provide help and advice, with the exception of Friday 18 August (see below).

On Friday 18 August, students offered a place at Reading through the Clearing or Adjustment process will be offered to attend an invitation-only Open Morning at Henley Business School. The session will provide visitors an opportunity to speak with academic colleagues and see our wonderful campuses and facilities. Please direct all visitors on the day to Henley Business School.

Our Admissions and academic colleagues have been working hard over the past few weeks in preparation of this crucial time. We ask that all colleagues make our guests and enquirers feel as welcome as possible and help point them in the right direction.
