Join us in support of Reading Pride 2017
Monday, 14 August 2017
As a university, we are proud to support our LGBT students, staff and members of the local community.
On Saturday 2 September we'll be taking part in Reading Pride, along with Reading University Students’ Union (RUSU). We would love to be joined by as many staff and students as possible, so please come along!
Festivities kick off with the Pride Parade, which starts at 11.00 am. The parade will travel through Reading town centre before arriving at Kings Meadow for the Reading Pride Festival.
At the Festival we will be holding a University stall from 12.00 pm until 6.30 pm, where we will showcase our support networks for our LGBT community and our historical LGBT connections – there’ll also be free giveaways!
We are also seeking volunteers to help at the stall on the day – if you are interested in joining us then please do register an interest by emailing Yasmin Ahmed or Sinead O'Flynn.
Now in its fourteenth year, Reading Pride is set to be a fun and entertaining day for all. The Festival will feature a full line-up of entertainment throughout the day as well as a funfair, youth area, market stalls and a wide range of tasty food and drink.
See the Reading Pride website for full details.
We look forward to seeing you there!
