Key Careers event dates for autumn 2017

Our Careers team have many exciting events in store for students of all disciplines over the autumn term. 

Below are four key events that will be interest to many students across campus – please be sure to pass these on to your students over the coming weeks.

Careers Fair+ app is coming! 

This year, students will be able to download the Careers Fair+ app, which has been designed to partner the Careers & Placements Fair. The app will greatly simplify preparation and fair navigation and allows students to search and view employers, apply filters to their search (industry sector, placements, international vacancies etc.), ‘favourite’ employers and use an interactive map. It will be available on Android, iOS and there will also be a website version. 

Careers film on the way

Careers are making a film to help prepare students for attending the fair, following feedback from the Student Careers and Employability Group last year. The short film will include advice directly from employers, as well as details about the Careers Fair+ app. The film will be played in the main lecture theatre on the day of the fair and will be made available through the Careers website.
