Campus Jobs: one stop shop for temporary recruitment
Monday, 18 September 2017
Launching Monday 18 September, Campus Jobs will now be your one stop shop for hiring and paying student workers (no matter the duration) and non-students (who work less than three months).
A joint initiative between HR and Careers, Campus Jobs improves the experience for the University’s temporary workers and makes it easier for managers to recruit workers.
It covers all student work of any duration in an academic year, and all casual work for up to three months (previously paid on timesheets or fees forms).
It offers:
- Centralised advertising of part-time and temporary work on campus
- Right to work checks for all workers
- Issuing of contracts and/or assignment letters
- Issuing of weekly timesheets to workers
With the arrival of Campus Jobs, we are phasing out the paper Fee Claim Forms used to pay students and other temporary workers for work on campus.
At the HR Recruitment page, you will now find a link to the Campus Jobs approval portal, which together with new online timesheets replaces the form. These two systems will reduce the time it takes to get paid and improve the overall experience of working for the University.
Payroll will not accept fees forms after Thursday 26 October – all temporary workers (with the exception of Visiting Lecturers and External Examiners) will be paid via Campus Jobs from this date onwards.
Campus Jobs is great news for our staff and students – it makes all temporary recruitment smoother and simpler, offering better service for temporary workers and faster processes for recruiting managers.
The Campus Jobs team are very excited about the service and are happy to meet with staff across the University to answer any questions – please contact campusjobs@reading.ac.uk for further information or queries.
Full details are available on the HR Campus Jobs page.
