Staff briefing sessions: Student surveys 2017-18

Tuesday, 10 October 2017

Student surveys briefing sessions

All colleagues are warmly invited to join one of two staff briefing sessions focused on planned student surveys for the 2017/18 academic year, led by Dr Amanda Callaghan, Teaching & Learning Dean and Chair of the Implementation Group on Student Surveys.

The session will provide an introduction to the work of the Implementation Group on Student Surveys, and will include an overview of all major undergraduate and taught postgraduate student surveys planned this year, including:

  • National Student Survey (NSS)
  • UK Engagement Survey (UKES)
  • Postgraduate Taught Engagement Survey (PTES)
  • Our new Reading Student Survey (RSS)

For each survey we will discuss the associated objectives, timing, planned promotion campaign, and how staff in Schools/departments and more widely across the University can help to increase student engagement with surveys.

We hope there will also be time at the end for Q&A, so do come prepared with any questions you may have.

The sessions will be taking place on:

  • Monday 30 October 10.10-11.00 am – Miller G05, Whiteknights
  • Thursday 9 November 11.10-12.00 pm – L022 113, London Road

Please RSVP by emailing communications@reading.ac.uk to help us manage numbers.

If you are unable to attend and would like to receive a copy of the slides after the event, please contact us by email.
