Date change for StellarHE Diverse Leaders programme
Friday, 20 October 2017
Applicants of the 2018 StellarHE development programme should note that the first residential module will now be held on 18-19 January instead of 11-12 January, as originally listed.
If you have already applied to the programme, please inform your manager of the change in date.
If you haven’t applied but are interested, please send in your applications by 5.00 pm, Friday 3 November (application details below).
What is StellarHE?
StellarHE is a strategic executive development programme for Diverse Leaders (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic – BAME) in higher education.
The University is sponsoring two places on this year’s programme and would like to invite Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic staff to apply for these places.
The programme is targeted at individuals in academic, research and professional support roles who aspire to senior leadership positions. A readiness to embark on an experiential leadership programme and availability to participate in all activities are key criteria for participation in the programme.
Detailed information is available in the StellarHE programme brochure.
How to apply
To apply, please complete the application form (Word, 67.8 KB) and email it to Susan Thornton by 5.00 pm Friday 3 November.
Your manager will need to support the application and fully understand your involvement; active engagement is a critical element of the StellarHE programme.
For example, managers need to support participants in identifying their Leadership Challenge and sharing their learning in the workplace on completion of the formal modules of the training. They will also be invited to attend the Leadership Challenge presentations on the final day.
Candidates will be notified of the outcome of their application by Monday 13 November.
