Fireworks display and car park closures on Friday 3 November
Thursday, 26 October 2017
Following the highly successful University event in 2015, we are once again hosting a fireworks display on the Whiteknights Meadow on Friday 3 November.
Attendance is free for all students and staff and the event promises to be a fantastic opportunity for our community to get together and celebrate this seasonal tradition. Staff and students are welcome to bring along family and friends too.
RUSU will be providing a range of delicious food options from their BBQ, and we’ll also be hosting a number of stalls from the food market, including Bratwurst, Vegivores and Pitta Pitta. Drinks will be available to purchase from Park House, The Meadow Suite and Mojo’s.
Food, drink and entertainment will be available from 5.30pm, with the display at 7pm. RUSU will also be hosting a live music event from 8.30pm.

Car park and campus path closures
Car Parks 4, 9 and some of Car Park 10 will be closed all day on Friday 3 November to allow vehicle access to set up for the display.
In addition, the section of road between Car Park 10 and the RSSL car park will also be closed all day on Friday 3 November.
To ensure the safety of all our staff and students, the paths from Wessex and Bridges Halls and the Agriculture, Psychology and Meterology Buildings across to the Whiteknights Meadow will be closed from 18:40 to 19:40 on Friday 3 November. The closure will be strictly enforced by Security staff. If you are attending the display, please allow enough time to walk across to the Meadow before the path is closed.

We look forward to seeing you there!
