Armistice Day, Friday 10 November
Friday, 10 November 2017
Each year, the University marks Armistice Day with short services of memorial across our campuses. We remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of our country. We also acknowledge students and staff who have passed away over the last year.
As Armistice Day this year falls on a Saturday, the University is hosting services at each of our UK campuses on Friday 10 November for those who wish to mark the occasion by gathering together. These will be led by the University’s chaplains who will invite representatives from other faiths, and none, to participate.
All staff and students are invited to gather at the most convenient location for them at 10.50am on 10 November.
Ceremonies will be held as follows:
- London Road Peace Garden
- Greenlands flagpole near the cattle grid
- Whiteknights flagpole between the Library and Whiteknights House
We hope that you will be able to attend one of these events.
