Join the University of Reading as we welcome the festive season with two fantastic events!

Thursday 30 November 2017, 5.30 pm

CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHT SWITCH ON

Join us as we light up the University’s Christmas tree in the Palmer Quad.

With music from students and staff across the University, mulled wine and an extended Thursday Food Fair this is the perfect start to the festive season!

And don’t forget to visit the Chaplaincy’s FairTrade fair in the Palmer Foyer from 12pm-2pm on the same day.  All staff, students and their families are welcome.

Monday 4 December. 6.00 pm

CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE

Celebrate Christmas with the University’s Chamber Choir at a traditional candle-lit service in the beautiful setting of our historic Great Hall.

Register to attend the Carol Service at reading.ac.uk/events/christmas.

CHRISTMAS CLOSURE

Don’t forget that the University will close for the Christmas holidays from Friday 22 December and will reopen on Tuesday 2 January.

All closure days for the 2017-18 academic year are available on our Term Dates page.
