Tableau Reader training session, Tuesday 13 February
Thursday, 18 January 2018
The Planning and Strategy Office (PSO) will be hosting a training session on using Tableau Reader on Tuesday 13 February. The session is open to all staff who use (or are likely to use) Tableau Reader software for reporting and data analysis.
Many of the analytical reports PSO produce are make use of Tableau Reader. If you have ever tried to review dashboard data from the PSO website, there is a good chance you would have already seen references to the software, but may be unclear on how to use it.
The training session will provide:
- Tour of key data available through the PSO website
- Tips for using Tableau Reader
- Opportunities to explore specific dashboards
- Hands-on support from PSO staff
The session will be held in Palmer G05B, 1.00-2.30pm. Places can be booked via Employee Self Service.
PSO will be holding one training session per term, so if you can’t attend February’s session, another should follow in the summer term.
The dashboards available through the PSO website are extremely useful for members of staff compiling data-driven reports. Key areas include:
- University planning processes (Research, SPS & SPELT)
- Equality & Diversity (including Athena Swan submissions)
- Historical student numbers and admissions data
- Key Performance indicators (KPIs)
- Benchmarking data for student surveys and league tables
