Julian Park appointed Head of Agriculture Policy and Development for second term

We are delighted to announce that Professor Julian Park has been appointed Head of the School of Agriculture, Policy and Development for a second term.
Julian was first appointed Head of School in 2014. His second term will formally begin on 1 August 2018, with the appointment standing for the next six years.
Under Julian’s leadership, the School of Agriculture, Policy and Development has maintained its reputation as one of the best in the world. In the 2017 QS World Subject Rankings, the School was ranked 10th for Agriculture and Forestry research, and is also consistently ranked as the UK's top university for impact in Agricultural Sciences research.
The School also has an international reputation for education in its field, welcoming students from over 35 countries with many of its graduates following careers that aim to tackle some of the key global challenges.
Professor Robert Van de Noort, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Academic Planning and Resource, said:
“Julian has very ably led the School in recent years. His key focus over the next six years will be to maintain and enhance the School’s reputation as a world-leading centre of excellence in research and education in the sciences, economics and development of rural environments.”
