Friends of the Earth CEO explores evolution of progress in Alumni Public Lecture
Tuesday, 13 February 2018
Craig Bennett, CEO of Friends of the Earth and Reading alumnus, will deliver an inspiring public lecture this month exploring how the concept of progress has evolved over time.
Craig Bennett studied BSc Human and Physical Geography at Reading in 1994. He is currently CEO of Friends of the Earth, and is also an Honorary Professor of Sustainability and Innovation at Alliance Manchester Business School.
Having spent most of his career as an environmental campaigner, Craig believes there is an urgent need for the 'environmental movement' to evolve rapidly over the next decade if it is going to play a leadership role in helping steer humanity to a more sustainable future.
In his lecture, Craig will look at the evolution of the concept of 'progress' - what it means, what it should mean and what progress should really look like in the 21st century.
