University's Endowment Fund invites bids

Friday, 02 March 2018

Endowment fund

The Endowment Fund is awarded by the Vice-Chancellor and supports the running of departmental, school or function events involving the public or external stakeholders.

The fund is inviting applications for events taking place before the start of Autumn Term 2018. You can bid for up to £1,000 by completing this short form explaining the objectives, focus and benefits of your event, (University log-in required) and emailing it to vc@reading.ac.uk.

Many events have been supported through successful bids ¬- the fund has been particularly helpful where school or function funding may be limited or otherwise unavailable.

Recent events supported by the fund include:

  • AnDY Research Clinic and Theale Green School art transformation
  • Jess Phillips MP discussion and debate at the University of Reading
  • Geology Showcase event
  • Speed-networking and placement careers event for Mathematics students

The closing date for applications is Monday 9 April. We will aim to notify applicants of outcomes by Monday 16 April.

Approved funding will be allocated directly to the department, school, or function budget. A short post-event evaluation will be required.

Contact Sinead O’Flynn if you have any queries.
