Ben Pedley Memorial Concert, Saturday 10 March

Tuesday, 06 March 2018

Ben Pedley Memorial Concert

Join the University of Reading this Saturday for this special concert celebrating the life of Chemistry student and keen pianist, Ben Pedley.

The first half of the programme will present music that was meaningful to Ben, celebrating his love of a diverse range of songs and piano music. The second half of the concert is a performance of Karl Jenkins: The Armed Man, A Mass for Peace. In the centenary year of World War 1, this piece reminds us of the horrors of war, and the urgent need for nations to come together in peace.

The concert will also feature the inaugural presentation of the Ben Pedley Award for outstanding contribution to the musical community at the University.
