Fairbrother Lecture: Would you let your phone tell you what to eat?
Tuesday, 13 March 2018
Would you let your phone tell you what to eat?
This very question and more will be explored in this year’s Fairbrother public lecture, which takes place on Wednesday 21 March (7.00 pm, G11 Henley Business School).
The lecture will be presented by PhD researcher Rodrigo Zenun Franco following his recent research on personalised online nutrition advice. As part of his research, Rodrigo developed an app to assess dietary intake and propose valid personalised nutrition advice for adults – the belief being that apps make it easier for people to access content, making it easier for more people to feel the benefits of tailored diet advice.
Places are free, but booking is essential – please visit the event listing page to book your place or email events@reading.ac.uk.
The Fairbrother Lecture series
The annual Fairbrother Lecture is a public lecture series hosted by the Graduate School, which celebrates the exciting work of our PhD researchers. It is named after Jack Fairbrother, who in 1929 became the first student to be awarded a PhD from the University of Reading. Each lecture is presented by a current or recent Reading PhD researcher.
