Time changes for 15 June Open Day

Following feedback from colleagues, the Open Days team has revised the format of the next Open Day on Friday 15 June.

We recognise that it can be a quieter day for colleagues in academic departments, and intend to reduce the opening hours to 9.00am - 3.00pm and suggest departments run a slightly shorter programme to match these hours. 

The Open Day team recommend that departments open from 9.30am - 2.00pm. Departments offering single honours degrees will only need to run one of the main ‘Why study’ talks, while those offering joint honour degrees are advised to repeat the ‘Why study’ talk so that students can find out about multiple subject areas. 

The team also recommend that departments run a slightly shorter programme of taster sessions and tours. The Open Day Dome will be open throughout the day, and departmental representation will be required until 3.00pm. 

All other 2018 Open Days (Saturday 16 June, Saturday 6 October and Saturday 13 October) remain unchanged with a full programme running 9.00 am - 4.00 pm.
